What started as a single product has grown into the most recognized adhesive brand in North America.

In 1999, Mark Singer founded The Gorilla Glue Company with a simple mission: create the strongest, most versatile adhesive on the market. The original Gorilla Glue polyurethane formula quickly gained a reputation among woodworkers and contractors for its incredible strength and 100% waterproof bond.

Today, we've expanded our product line to include tapes, super glues, epoxies, and specialty adhesives - each engineered to deliver the same uncompromising strength that made our original formula famous. With distribution in over 90 countries, Gorilla Glue remains family-owned and committed to American manufacturing.

1999 - The Beginning

Mark Singer introduces Original Gorilla Glue to the US market. The polyurethane-based formula quickly gains cult following among woodworkers for its expanding, waterproof bond.

2005 - Gorilla Tape Launch

After years of development, Gorilla Tape debuts with reinforced backing and double-thick adhesive. It becomes the fastest-growing duct tape brand, capturing 15% market share within 3 years.

2010 - Super Glue Innovation

Gorilla Super Glue launches with anti-clog cap technology - solving the #1 complaint about cyanoacrylate adhesives. Impact-tough formula sets new standard for instant bonding.

2015 - International Expansion

Products now sold in 90+ countries. Partnership with Sharonville, Ohio facility adds 50,000 sq ft manufacturing capacity to meet global demand.

2020 - Specialty Products

Launch of Gorilla Fabric Glue, Wood Glue, and Construction Adhesive lines. Portfolio expands to 25+ SKUs covering every major adhesive category.

2025 - Sustainability Focus

78% of packaging now uses recycled materials. Solar installation at Cincinnati facility provides 15% of power needs. Zero-waste-to-landfill initiative launched with 2028 target.
